Water puppetry is one of the most special performing art of Vietnamese culture which has become a “specialty” of every tourist coming to visit Vietnam. In water puppetry, wood logs are magically turned into different characters of the story that puppeteers want to tell the audience. This performing art is believed to have been existed since the 11th century and nowadays, there are only 16 traditional water puppet troupe left throughout Vietnam.
