VIETNAM MUSEUM OF ETHNOLOGY’S BUSTLE FESTIVAL IN THE LUNAR NEW YEAR 2019
When Tet is coming, people spend a lot of time with their family to enjoy the spring. Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (Nguyen Van Huyen, Cau Giay, Hanoi) is one of the interesting entertainment destinations because the activity of ‘Discovering the Vietnamese Lunar New Year’ has promoted the Tet program ‘Happy Spring Ky Hoi 2019: The Shade of Bac Giang culture
In every Lunar New Year occasion, the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology is a familiar address for those who wish to explore the unique cultural beauty of regions and ethnic groups. This year, Vietnam Museum of Ethnology cooperates with Bac Giang Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism to introduce Bac Giang culture to the capital. Visitors learn and experience the culture of the ethnic groups, Cao Lan, and San Diu through the excellent performance with the singing of Soong Ha which captivating people, or interesting experiences with traditional brocade weaving and paper making by Cao Lan people. In addition to the unique features in cuisine with the taste of Banh Da Ke, Che Kho and famous dishes here, there are also many interesting highlights waiting to be discovered.
The highlight of the program “Discovering Vietnamese New Year” this year is the participation of artisans from Bac Giang. When coming to the program, visitors were immersed in the smooth and deep tunes of the Ha Tho folk music of the predecessors and joining the lively folk games of the Vietnamese people in Bắc Giang and discovering the cuisine through a number of local specialties.
Especially, at the program, the children have the opportunity to explore cultural features in the traditional Tet holiday of the nation through a number of activities such as: making Banh Chung, writing calligraphy and playing folk games.
The program “Happy Ky Hoi Spring 2019: The shade of Bac Giang Culture ” will take place on the 5th and 6th of the Lunar New Year (9-10 February 2019).
Visitors also are enjoyed artistic activities such as singing the folk songs, exchanging with artists as well as enjoying Bac Giang specialties in front of Canh Dieu building. Fun activities such as stall dance, cross dancing were held in front of the Trong Dong building.
In addition to coming to the Museum in the early spring of the lunar new year, visitors can also experience the unique and unique water puppet performance. Attractive shows from famous artisans in water puppet guilds will bring visitors lots of meaningful laughter.
