Painting Water Puppets – An Activity Enhancing Children’s Creativity

Art is considered as a creative subject helping children express their thought and concretize what they see. Therefore painting, especially in an open space can help raise children’s awareness, develop creative thought of shape, color, the link among people, things and landscapes, etc.

Painting in the water puppet space – a new and interesting experience

Located in the precinct of Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, the water puppet space of Performing Arts Revival Theatre is an ideal place for children to experience painting. According to researchers, contacting with art from the childhood will help children more intelligent. Therefore, painting regularly will help raise their awareness, develop vision and enhance physical abilities.

Under green foliages, the water puppet area ensures that children can play in an open and fresh space. On green grass with decorations such as rice, pink lotus flowers, etc, children can immerse themselves in a countryside landscape.

Space and landscape here is a harmonious combination between people and nature. Here, children can not only play together but also join traditional games with puppeteers. Moreover, Palm Leaf viewing area that bring fresh feelings is an ideal place for children to paint puppets creatively.

“Crude” water puppets & painting tools for children

In a countryside landscape, besides enjoying interesting water puppet performances and interacting with real puppets, children can also join painting puppets up to their creativity. They will be provided with colors, brushes and necessary tools to paint and complete their products.

Developing children both physically and mentally is a normal wish of parents. Understanding that, Longlink Water Puppet Theatre was born to create a playground for children to learn cultural values.
